New high-riding Rolls-Royce unveiled; luxury SUV now available to buyers; Bentley Bentayga rival available with Harrington Finance
ROLLS-Royce has unveiled its radical new SUV, the Cullinan, and it intends to make short work of rivals Bentley and Range Rover.
The new car from the luxury car giants will be released in December 2018 and is now available to preorder with Harrington Finance.
It exudes luxury and will cater for the growing consumer desire for an elevated luxury car.
Rolls-Royce has priced the Cullinan at £250,000, but unlike the similarly-priced Phantom, it has full off-road capabilities without compromising on luxury, refinement, and comfort.
In the engine bay, you’ll find a derivative of the 6.75-litre twin-turbo petrol V12 used in the Phantom, which develops 563bhp and 627lb ft of torque.
This torque is available from just 1600rpm, which consequently ensures that the full accomplishment of power is available through the entire range.
A 0-60mph has yet to be released by Rolls-Royce, but it is expected to be sub-five seconds, which would offer a powerful surge for any car, never mind one that weighs 2,660kg.
Rolls refuses to compromise on any front for owners
Ride quality is optimised by the Everywhere button within the Cullinan, which switches powertrain and suspension settings to reflect the surface and desires of the driver.
The Rolls-Royce’s myriad of gear ratios and phenomenal torque delivery ensures that a low-range gearbox is not necessary.
Self-levelling air suspension delivers unrivalled adaptability to offer unrelenting relaxation while driving, while the air struts deliver a more comfortable ride over long distances.
Its rivals offer their own USPs, which focus on performance and sheer indomitability off-road, yet the Cullinan provides the ultimate blend of all such qualities to offer an irresistible proposition to buyers.
Elevation is abundant thanks to the 20cm of additional ground clearance – a key leveraging factor for prospective buyers.
It’s easier to live with, too, being 40cm shorter than its stablemate, the Phantom, while the split tailgate ensures that loading is struggle-free.
Interior quality is impeccable and clearly lauds over others within class; natural simplicity across the controls and infotainment systems underscore the accessibility and consummate luxury of the Cullinan.
The eclectic array of driver aids ensure convenience is catered for, too, so simplicity should not be confused with the Rolls-Royce being primitive.
Night vision, a Wi-Fi hotspot, an alertness assistant, powered tailgate, and self-lowering body for easy access all feature as standard.
